Stretching, reaching, like a big kid

My class and I visited the playground at San Pedro Springs Park earlier this year. And this was the first time I had ever seen this spiral ladder. I was drawn to it immediately and wanted to climb it right away. It took me a while and I had a little help from my Mommy at first. But, after a couple of times, I had it on my own.

Mommy enrolled me in these classes at this place called "The Little Gym." The teachers are really nice and they let me run around and play. They have a high and low beam, parallel and uneven bars, and they have these big, giant mats where you roll around. I learned how to do somersaults! I am having lots of fun!

Mommy, Daddy and I have been playing a lot of hop scotch, also. Watch me jump really high!

Easter with my cousins

My cousins, Diana Isabel and Yashua, drove down to San Antonio with my Tios and we all went to the zoo on Good Friday. It was really busy and there were lots of people there that day. But, we had lots of fun just being together.

Then on Easter Sunday, I traveled to Austin to visit them at their house. We also celebrated Yashua's fourth birthday that day. And we had lots of fun eating cupcakes, making Easter eggs, breaking cascarones, hunting for eggs, and running around like crazy kids on their trampoline.

Busy, busy, busy...

But not too busy today to apologize to everybody who has asked me to freshen up my blog posts. Mommy had ongoing technical issues with her old computer. She has a new one. So, we're back in the blogging business!

We have a back load of downloading to do. But, I want to start with March 12, which was an amazing, wonderful day for me. Actually, every day is a wonderful day. But, I had lots of fun this day.

First, we started off visiting the San Antonio Museum of Art. Then, I attended a birthday party for my friend, Van. And then! We traveled Downtown to participate in the city's first-ever night-time celebration of the arts called "Luminarias." It was a fun day, one of many these past couple months. I promise to update again soon.

Lola will come at 5 o'clock

Last month, during President's Day weekend, Lola came to visit. We had a great time going to parties and rodeos, playing games and putting puzzles together.

After we dropped Lola off, I kept asking Mommy, "Is Lola coming this evening?" But she kept saying, "We'll see Lola again soon, but not this evening."

Here we are with Abi. They like each other a lot, which is great because I love them both so much.

I miss my Lola. When Mommy is too tired to play puzzles or Candyland or Hi-Ho Cherry-O, I say to Mommy, "Lola will come at 5 o'clock." But Mommy says, "No, she's not coming at 5 o'clock. But I'm sure we'll see her soon."

Making up for lost time

These are some shots from the past couple of months.

This will be my last bath-shot -- perhaps forever. Because of the bladder infection, the doctor ordered me to stop taking sit-baths. So I am now taking showers. I don't like showers, either. I only just started to enjoy taking baths when the order came through. My parents were finally letting me wash my own hair. And each night, I had been able to color my bath water by using these special Crayola pills. Mommy says I need to learn how to close my eyes so the water doesn't get into my eyes. I say, "I want to stay dirty! I don't want to take a shower!"

Look! I'm a lollipop eating soccer fairy!

I forgot to tell you that we went to another birthday party for Francisco Javier last month. He turned one! I love parties.

January and February Just Flew By

Hi all. So sorry I've taken such a long time to update my blog. Some of you already know that we had a hard-drive crash. What a bummer. We also had a big sickness -- I got sick with a bad bladder infection that didn't go away, despite three unwanted visits to the doctor. Darn those doctors. They're supposed to make things better right away. I had my infection for three weeks. Ouch! Owwwwwie! I hate thinking about it. I just hate thinking about it.

Anyway, January and February flew by. I posted some videos of my birthday party, Grandma Juliet's birthday reunion party, and this other cool party that I went to. Lots of cool parties! Lots of fun!

The following two pictures are dedicated to Mr. Uncle Dale, Ms. Aunt Tammy and Widget, who introduced me to Japanese anime throgh the movie, "My Neighbor Totoro."

The San Antonio Children's Museum has a special exhibit on Japan. Much of it focuses on my friend Totoro. Here he and I are, waiting for the cat bus, along with Mei and her big sister, Satsuki.

Here's the cat bus.

Aside from parties and trips to all these cool places, I did a lot of exercising and stretching at home during the months of January and February.

Despite illness, hard drive crashes and whatever else comes my way, I always have lots of fun. Thank you for your patience while I got things up and running again. Enjoy the slide shows.

Happy Birthday, Great Grandma Juliet

Great Grandma Juliet turned 90 just before my third birthday. All of her friends and loved-ones traveled to a New Braunfels ranch to celebrate her birthday during the Martin Luther King holiday. Tio Pedro came all the way from Lima, Peru, despite the fact that he recently had a stroke and had to come in a wheel chair. That's love.

I got to meet a bunch of my Great Grandma's family -- both the Milk and Chick sides. Here's a slide-show from that great weekend:

My own birthday party

Hi all. You all know I turned three. Thank you for your patience. I know you've been waiting for these photos of my party. I had a great time, despite the fact that I was still sick with a bladder infection. Darn those doctors. They gave me the wrong medicine.

Anyway, I am better now. Despite the blundering doctors who gave me the wrong medicine, I had a great party. Actually, I had three different celebrations: one at my school during he morning of my real birthday, one during the night of my real birthday at a Democratic debate watching party, and one at my birthday party the following Sunday. Here's a slide-show from all of my great celebrations:

Cool Fiesta Farms Birthday Party

Just this past weekend, I went to a cool birthday party for my friend, Lauren. In the past, I had been somewhat shy about approaching animals. Well, Lauren's birthday party was at a petting farm. So, I got over my shyness. Here's a slide-show from that party:

By me for me and my friends

In years past, I relied on Mommy to take photos for me and my blog. I still count on her to do this. But, in recent days, I've been able to do my own photographing, thanks to my Tito Alfredo. He gave me a Fisher Price Kid Tough camera. I got it in the mail on Friday. And since then, I've been able to photograph life as I see it. Here is a sampling.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! New Year's Day was another great day in my life. We sat around the house, watching parades and football games (we stayed up late the night before for a party at my primo Joaquin's house). And I rode my new bicycle at the park with Mommy and Daddy. 2008 looks to be great.

Phew! What a busy holiday season!

Hi everybody! I learned this year that the holidays are about waking up on Christmas day and opening gifts.

But by the time Christmas came around, I had a lot of practice opening gifts -- from the Christmas/birthday party at Olivia's house, the holiday get-together at Tito's house, the Christmas Eve party at Isabella's house, and opening gifts from my classmates. We went to lots of parties. And I opened lots of really cool gifts from my friends and family -- from books, musical instruments, toys, videos. Thanks everybody!

Here's a slideshow of my holiday events:
